The First Sergeants Retirement Ring

The 1st Sergeant is the top ranking noncommissioned officer in a company sized unit. He is the best sergeant that his troops call him “Top.” The identity of top applies even if the 1st Sergeant is a female but she will probably be referred to by the more official phrase of “First Sergeant” rather than the title “Top.”
