The First Sergeants Retirement Ring

The 1st Sergeant is the highest rating noncommissioned officer in a company sized unit. He is the leading sergeant that his troops call him “Top.” The identity of top applies even if the First Sergeant is a lady but she will probably be referred to by the more official phrase of “First Sergeant” rather than the identity “Top.”
