The First Sergeants Retirement Ring

The 1st Sergeant is the top rating noncommissioned officer in a company sized unit. He is the senior sergeant that his troops call him “Top.” The title of top applies even if the 1st Sergeant is a female but she will possibly be referred to by the more official phrase of “First Sergeant” rather than the title “Top.”
